ATEP
The Tunisian Association of Pharmacy Students (ATEP) is registered in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic in accordance with articles 3 and 4 of Law No. 59-154 of November 7, 1959, concerning associations. It is a non-profit association established in 1985 under license number 118, dated January 15, 1985.
ATEP manages the social and cultural life of students within, and when necessary outside, the Faculty of Pharmacy of Monastir.
This association encompasses various activities related to the scientific, public health, cultural, ecological, professional, humanitarian, sports, and leisure domains, as well as the activities indicated by the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (IPSF).
OUR FEDERATION
IPSF, a non-political NGO, is the leading international student organization in improving and promoting public health through information, education, networking, and a range of publications and professional activities. ( www.ipsf.org)
Each year, a member association of IPSF organizes the World Congress of Pharmacy Students. This is a 10-day event held in a different country each year, attended by students from international pharmacy student associations, pharmacy students, and professionals from nearly 100 countries. It serves as a platform to discuss pharmacy-related issues on an international scale, which can help unify pharmacy education worldwide.
IPSF has 5 regional offices. Among its offices is the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), of which we are a part. Each region also organizes a regional congress, such as the Eastern Mediterranean Pharmaceutical Symposium (EMPS) relevant to our region. This has allowed us to be the sole representative of the Tunisian pharmacy student on an international scale.

Our Committees
Sports and Nature Committee :
A fusion that may seem enigmatic between physical activity and lovers of phytotherapy and pharmacognosy, the Sports and Nature Committee in its 3rd edition will bring these two aspects together by working on the impact of good health and the protection of our mother earth on daily life.
Leisure and Culture Committee:
The Leisure and Culture Committee, over the past year, has demonstrated innovation and creativity: by absorbing the former Culture committee and the former Leisure and Travel committee, it became a happy medium capable of organizing various events that are both entertaining and enriching. Our goal this year is to maintain the continuity of this vision through a rich and varied program that enlivens student life while ensuring innovation that gives our events charm and originality.
Professional Development Committee:
In every association, there is a professional side that ensures the continuous training of its members. At ATEP, this side is guaranteed by its Professional Development Committee, which has much to offer: ranging from workshops, to industrial and pharmaceutical laboratory visits, to various conferences, bringing students together with professionals in the field to forge a leadership personality prepared for a promising professional life. This way, the student will have acquired a clearer vision of their future as well as Soft Skills and Hard Skills that will be beneficial and essential.
Public Health Committee :
Passionate about public health and aware of the important role pharmacists play in the medical field, the "CSPA'ers" never miss the committee's events, which cover various health themes and provide quality training through conferences, training sessions, workshops, round tables... Among the committee's flagship events:
-
Blood donation campaigns: "Vampire Cup"
-
Public Health Week: a series of conferences, training sessions, workshops... dedicated to pharmacy students and any practitioner in the health field.
-
Awareness campaigns: drug addiction, smoking, mental health, women's health...
-
Health Caravan: aims to provide free screening, prevention, and awareness services.
Humanitarian Committee:
The Humanitarian Committee, where justice and the values of altruism reign, is the ideal path to contribute to the fight, in the name of peace and human rights, against any act of inequality and hostility. Between two aspects—one scientific and one moral—the committee always tries to highlight the importance of altruism and equality values on both the moral and professional levels for the person responsible for the humanitarian act, as well as the impact on the lives of needy people. Indeed, regarding the scientific aspect, we provide several relevant training sessions on humanitarian subjects (Violence, racism, Human Rights). Faithful to our traditions, we organize various charitable events aimed at helping the poor and needy and bringing smiles to underprivileged children (clothing donations, school supply collections...).
Scientific Education Committee :
The Pharmaceutical Education Officer, and the scientific committee they lead, have the primary function of ensuring the development of programs for the association's various scientific events, such as the National Congress of Pharmacy Students (CNEP) and events from committees with a scientific aspect (conferences, workshops...). The committee also guarantees contact with trainers and speakers and maintains a professional relationship with them to establish a rich database for its successors. The choice of themes to address meets several criteria, including, among others, the relation to public health problems in Tunisia and the world, the student's future professional life, the citizen-medication relationship, etc. The Pharmaceutical Education Officer is also responsible for developing projects aimed at improving citizen health vigilance and maternal health vigilance. Together with the Assistant Secretary General for Media and Publications, they contribute to deepening the knowledge of young pharmacists about their field and to serving society through the writing and publication of scientific articles and simple, informative, and attractive radio segments. Finally, they assist the faculty in its projects and scientific events by training student committees and organize scientific events on behalf of the association for the benefit of the faculty.
