First cycle of pharmaceutical studies

PCEP lasts 2 years.
The PCEP program includes a pharmacy internship and basic training, including theoretical teachings, directed teachings, and practical work. The courses are delivered during the 2 semesters of the academic year, and are organized into modules, in addition to the teaching of English and first aid. Each module corresponds to one or more subjects. These teachings are mandatory.
The introductory training course for officinal practice lasts 6 weeks. It must be completed before the start of the third year in a pharmacy approved by the Faculty of Pharmacy of Monastir, where the intern must validate the different objectives of the internship.
The subjects taught in the first year are: mathematics and statistics, computer science , biophysics, genetics, cell biology and animal organization, structural biochemistry, pharmaceutical physical chemistry, pharmaceutical organic chemistry, human anatomy and embryology, human physiology, the philosophy of science and human rights, galenic pharmacy and history of pharmacy, English and first aid.

The subjects taught in the second year are: human physiology, elements of semiology and epidemiology, metabolic biochemistry, molecular biology and elements of biotechnology, pharmaceutical mineral chemistry, pharmaceutical organic chemistry, biophysics, pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, botanical and pharmaceutical cryptogamy, plant biology, general microbiology, general immunology and immunoanalysis, English and C2I computer science.
